Our gas is sold in Litres. There are 3.78 litres in a US gallon and with the currency exchange $1 USD = $0.75 CDN

So $ Cdn2.39/litre = 2.39 x 3.78 * 0.75 = $6.78USD per US gal I'm thinking you best stay south of the border for cheapest gas.

Its about 4,100 kms from here to Vancouver if going through the USA rather than 4,600kms if staying in Canada, so saves about 500kms each way. But then we need to worry about the hassle of getting travel health insurance etc. That would cost a lot more than 500 kms worth of gas in both directions.
