The E10 seems to delay the peak cylinder pressure “early spike” and thereby quell the high load rattle on my 455. Unfortunately we are almost always in a “high load” set of conditions relative to the Toronado. This delay is not great for converting to rotational motion as effectively. But some efficiency is recouped by adding timing, which it will tolerate in greater amounts than with E0 87. Perhaps my bad experience with E0 coming home from Amana was not an accurate test based on one sample but it was not good. Driving any distance out of the way to seek out E0 on gasbuddy will result in a net loss of economy and my time, so I usually end up with convenient truck stop E10
