I am a terrible typist and this is my third time trying to post this.

I disagree with whomever made recommendations in Item One and the transmission down shift switch.

Item one. Replacing a fusible link with a 30 amp CB is a BAD idea. A CB is a designed to shut off voltage immediately when it see an over current. Almost everything thing in your coach already CB or fuse protected in their individual circuits. A fusible is there to protect wring etc. from gross overloads. As such it is a time delayed last chance interrupter of voltage to the WHOLE 12 volt (engine side) Of the coach which I guaranty is a whole lot more than 30amps. Think of a few higher current things you could be running concurrently. I believe the suspension compressor is CBed or fused at 30 amps. How about the head, tail, clearance brake, and turn signals lights? Add to that the radio and Cruise and you can see how it could be too much. Add a few of these together and you can see why 30 amp is not going to hack it.

The fusible link is a special wire designed Specifically NOT to cause an electrical fire. You can get a replacement at most auto parts stores for around $3.00. I believe our fusible link is 16 gauge black.

Stolen from the internet.....

"This low-voltage, insulated automotive cable is designed for use in demanding automotive wire harness applications where standard fuses are unsuitable. The fusible link protects the automotive cable harness in case of extreme current overload. If this occurs, the conductor within the link melts while its insulation contains any spark or flame emitted, preventing potential electrical fires.

So if yours is bad, just replace it. That should be good for another 40 years.

On the transmission downshift. This is usually the rod the gas petal is mounted on is bent downward a bit and the switch on the other end of the rod s not being transferred. Pull up on the pedal end bend it towards you . Then look at the switch while pressing all the way down on the pedal to see if it transfers now.
