Not sure why you wouldn't want the separate Aux tank vent line. Seems to me it may help venting and wouldn't hinder it at all. When I did my tanks a year or so ago, I did the 'High T' mod. I was under there recently and tied up a few places where it dipped a quarter inch or so on its way forward.
