Ken,
Lean down the idel jet and then with electrical load on, try turning the
main jet down without it hunting.
You should install a stronger ignition system . I run the MSD and open up
the gap at 25, does not miss a beat and is easy to install.
Also the primer switch allows it to start on first crank every time.
