That's what I want to replace, the pump that shuts on and off. Mine won't shut off anymore and runs continuously. Sent from my U.S.Cellular© Smartphone

One is to just make a vacuum canister out of PVC pipe, and run a largevacuum hose to the booster. Engine vacuum suffices to charge the canister. No pump required. Or, a smaller pump will suffice to replenish the vacuumneeded when the engine is off. The second, is to use an electric driven larger vacuum pump, with nocanister. But it needs to be big enough to perform the brake booster taskall by itself. Those pumps are more $$$, and are usually turned on and offvia a vacuum sensing switch and relay setup. Again, a more complexsystem, not exactly trouble free. Pretty hard to find something that pumps as much vacuum as your engine.Jim HupySalem, OregonOn Sat, Jun 19, 2021, 1:41 PM 78gmcroyale wrote:> I need to replace my brake booster vacuum pump, what's everyone using> these days?ThanksRay ErspamerSent from my U.S.Cellular© Smartphone> _______________________________________________> GMCnet mailing list> Unsubscribe or Change List Options:>_______________________________________________GMCnet mailing listUnsubscribe or Change List Options:
