I ALWAYS use an independent local rebuilder whom I have used for many
years. Clear back into the 6 volt GENERATOR AND SEPARATE REGULATOR days. I
have had very little issues with their work. THEY AIN'T CHEAP! When you
buy a Chinese $29.95 over the counter, one size fits all, alternators, etc.
You makes no difference if it has a lifetime warranty. Take the burned up
one back, and they give you another just like it. No matter if it cooks
when you are at the ends of the earth, not their problem.
