My one year old Delco alternator bearing froze up and burned up the belt . Thank goodness no other damage was caused when the belt went flying . Is there a bearing problems with these alternators ?
Gregory,

I am glad to hear that the peripheral damage was minimal.
I would love to hear more about this.
The bearing of a 27SI has never been a noted weak point.

Matt
