Here is a photo of my jeep snorkel. It needs a riser to clear the injectors. The riser is made of a section of HD plastic pipe. I had trouble with air leaks at the ends of the riser, hence the black tape. I have since fixed that.

The sensor on the side of the riser is the Intake Air Temperature sensor IAT.
