Well, it is especially challenging to have a totally quiet running air
conditioner on top of what amounts to a huge aluminum beer can. Any
vibration will transmit much amplified harmonics directly below it. Fan
motors that run fast enough to move sufficient air volume to cool the coach
with all that glass volume is a tall order as well. Best we can do, is
place the unit on lots of soft foam, and hope to seal up all the water
leaks. Newer units are somewhat quieter, but are far from silent.
Sometimes, being hard of hearing is a good thing. Look at the decibel
ratings before you buy. Quality sometimes costs more. All I've got from
here.
