Ken,

I like the three switches because they follow the KISS principle and they have worked well since they were installed in 2008. In fact I just bought three more to install in the Kingsley.

I agree if a battery catches on fire access would probably be compromised. However, if the fire is already big enough prohibit access to those switches would shutting off the batteries make any difference?

I would open the hood and extinguish the fire with AFFF and then turn off the switch.
