"A long time ago, 1959, I remember it well" I was on a job in Cut Bank Montana. We had a brand new Boles Aero travel trailer staying in a little trailer park. We noticed Boots, our cocker spaniel wouldn't use the metal step getting in or out of the trailer, he would jump in or out. Didn't really think much about it. A day or two later after a rain I let him out and steped, bare footed, from the metal step to the wet ground. Next thing I knew I was wondering what I was doing laying on the ground with Boots licking my face. Trailer park was very primitive and only had 120 volt two wire outlets with no ground wire. Luckily I fell and broke the connection, only hurting my pride. I later traced the short to a stray wire strand in a light fixture. That ground wire in your service cable is really important.
