A GMC motorhome has ZERO off asphalt capability. One of the other respondents suggested a capacity of a come along above 12,000 lbs.... What are you going to attach the other end to? For me, I carry a broom. For asphalt. Think about the weight distribution, most of the weight of our coach is in the back..... Try going up Manny's driveway if you want to demonstrate for your self.

Read the fine print on any winch.
8,000 lbs. usually means at least a 4 to 1 whip or reeve.
To pull it 10 feet you need 50 feet of cable.
