GM finished coaches had different bases through the years. So ya'll are talking about different animals. The earlier models had bases that moved up as the seat slid rearward. The last production coaches had bases that had boxes whose doors faced the front. The swivel caused the seat to move away from the side wall as the seat is rotated toward the center of the coach. Therefore, the driver and passenger bases are different. I would think that they would work fine when used in the lounge area facing each other; with the drivers base facing rearward and the passenger base facing forward.
