Look to a failed water pump which has lunched the front bearing and beat up stuff on the front of the engine. As long as the fan hasn't eaten the radiator it's time consuming but not terribly hard to correct. If the pump pulley has been damaged or come apart, KEEP THE PIECES. That pulley (three sheave) is made of unobtanium as far as I can tell, he'll have to repair it if it's broken loose. Luck,
