Unless it's changed, Virgin uses the Sprint backbone. Sprint works OK in urban/mid-size city areas but I found it was all but useless in small-town NC.

BTW, most private brand cell services use Sprint or T-mobile, both tend to suck in rural areas.

I believe some here (Johnny?) use Karma
