thin walled PVC pipe was shaped with a heatgun to fit inside the roof frame bows so running any new wires down the road will be much easier and the headliner will be much nicer/smoother.

I did this with the sides also, held in place with spray foam and makes a flush surface for the walls and headliner to attach to.

did I mention it was well insulated Wink here you can see that the frame has supports for the fridge vent but no vent was installed. this coach had a 120vac fridge, I plan to go with a 12vdc replacement so wont be needing that vent. I like the smooth look on the outside and from what I gather its also kinda rare this way too.

no wires or pipes in the way of the bath module now and reflectix insulation from top to bottom behind it.

the bath door had come unglued, love the light weight construction of it, and that had to be pretty advanced for the early 70's! the panels were also slightly warped, enough that 3M 77 spray adhesive wouldnt hold it down do I utilized 3M weather strip adhesive and some clamps until it dried. it worked great.

my ziptie technique to keep the wires from rubbing on the corner edges, I had filed off the sharp edges but still wasnt satisfied that would be enough. this trick works very well for organizing sparkplug wires aswell.

I have what I think is a really good idea for the horizontal raceway for the wires doubling as a full length light fixture. should look much like what you see in conversion van interiors when done. in fact I have an Explorer conversion also and will probably do the whole headliner in much the same fashion.

the door way jamb for the bedroom ended up not on a floor frame rail so this is my removable mounting solution to attach it to the plywood floor. an allen head bolt, two square nuts, and a hole drilled and tapped into the square nuts. also used those threaded inserts with teeth (forget what they are called) that are pulled into the wood when tightened so they stay in place. I use these everywhere something was screwed or bolted into the wood flooring including the bath module.

what used to seem like big projects now pale in comparison to the GMC
