For a better "CB" speaker, you should get one of the specific speakers designed for that usage.
MFJ makes a very nice small voice optimized speaker for a mere $15 and free shipping. I have one installed directly behind my left ear on the driver side window trim. Works well with my Ham Radio.

Then, you do not have to worry about cross-talk or damaging your GMC speakers or radio. JWID.
