try 5.5 qts and a bottle of gm EOS ...thinking EOS is a half guart or half litre or maybe its a little less....this is what I did on my new engine that I have maybe a 100 miles on....If I can improve the steering so its drivable I will continue this method ......using shell 15-40 and eos...brian 77 ele 455
