If anyone is concerned about what effect the cooler and lines have on oil level, it is an easy exercise to just remove the cooler sandwich adapter and run the engine with just a filter. Then KenB's 5qt procedure will be about as close as your gonna get without using more complicated measurements and calculations. Once the correct(desired) level is established, you just reconnect the cooler and adjust oil level to your new full mark. Why make an easy process more complicated? The 5qt rule had worked well for many of us without any apparent negative effects.
