Along those lines, a local production house a friend runs roughed a spot on spec for Year One. It was a takeoff on the then current Pontiac ad with the two cars doing a stoplight drag. The Pontiac comes to the light and stops. The camera pans to the light, and it's an old style tree counting down to green, while you hear a Mopar starter spin off something making a lot of racket and a noisy high speed idle. Comes the green and the shot is a large explosion and cloud of smoke under the light. As it clears, the doors fall off the Pontiac and rattle on the ground in the disappearing smoke. The camera pans down the street and zooms on a RoadRunner idling off the exit lane of what what has become a strip, and the Year One logo and motto fade up onscreen:

"DON'T CRUSH 'EM, RESTORE 'EM"

They didn't buy it for whatever reason so it never got past a rough storyboard. I think they'd of sold some parts with it, but it probably would of urinated CPC division off to the nines.
