Take a look at a Avion. They put in their "ski locker", opening to the passenger side. It extends all the way across the width of the vehicle. Mine has several internal access points, so I can place "stuff" inside the locker and get at it from the inside of the coach. You do get a little extra step in the interior of the GMC.
