That's a great idea Rob! Maybe you could add it to Bdub's site too?

Guy,

I put the email together for general reference as quite often people come on
and speculate how much it costs to restore a GMC. They can use the email
below as a WORST CASE SCENARIO for parts.

Actually I'm going to work on it some more as there's a few items I forgot
like the Onan, 120VAC / 12VDCconvertor, fuel lines.

Will providing this information to prospective GMC owners, DEFINITELY!
However, at least they will get into it with their eyes wide open if they do
decide to take the plunge!

Yes I agree that my estimate MIGHT be optimistic. Those were just numbers
off the top of my head and our conversations also included many other things
that I didn't include in my email simply for brevity. We've looked at
several GMCs in our own area, while pointing out the possibility of the
Avion in SC I was simply attempting to demonstrate possible alternatives.
Obviously, and he's an old classic car guy so he understands, there's no way
to even get an approximate cost to make a GMC reliable without looking at it
yourself and evaluating the coach first-hand.

Thanks everyone for the Avion info. Looks like the Edgemont is now also on
his list.
