The transfer case is a B/W unit used on later model Revcons with 454 GM engine so is a proven piece. The NP205 I sourced would have been an option also but I found this one on CL for $100. I was able to make the adapter with a piece of 1" aluminum and a little change to the original TH400 to B/W case adapter.
The differential has 3.73 gears but the B/W T Case has 1.1 to 1 gears which can be reversed easily. That translates into a 4.10 or 3.36. With the case at 4.1 and a 25% overdrive in the trans I should be at 3.08. I am running 215/85/16 tires which drops the effective ratio about 3.8% to 2.96 which should be close to ideal (I hope).
I already have the Manny one ton and I don't think I'll try playing with the geometry at all. I wouldn't mind moving the upper arm mounting points up a little but that'll have to wait.
The interior protrusion looks to be about 4" high and 20" long. I thought I could get the engine further forward but even after reworking the oil pan I was only able to pick up about an inch. It shouldn't be a problem but I had hoped for less.
Thanks for the interest, Hal
