I'm 6'5" and have a 76 Eleganza that had OEM seats. Although I found them uncomfortable, my problem was with legroom rather than height. I had a welder add a 2" plate to the base and it gave me additional room to slide back. That didn't work as well in my rear twin Royale since the driver's seat hit the kitchen cabinet.

I've never felt as though I'm looking through the top of the windshield and, in fact, would like to sit a bit higher up. (Maybe a cushion). I do have the round wooden ball seat covers and after a few hours of driving I think I could count those balls with my bony rear end.

I think the '76 seats must have been very different from the '73s although both could stand upgrading. My 65 year old semi-arthritic body could use some upgrading, also.
