Even a well rebuilt unit will eventually fail at some point if you demand that it recharge a large bank of house batteries over and over if you dry camp a lot like I do. I appreciate the lifetime warranty on my Duralast 7157 units. However, I don't want to minimize the fantastic instructions and pictures on how to rebuild your own. I have an old unit from a swap meet I'm going to rebuild just to say I did it and to keep as a spare. The nice thing about a warranty is that an Autozone is never that far away. You need to be home to rebuild a unit.
