Hello All

I do not post here often as evidenced by the fact that I have been here for 10 years and have 184 posts. But I do visit the Forum almost everyday to keep abreast of technical issues as well as some things social. I have met many of the people here in person at a few rallies and have corresponded with a few off net as well.
There have been quite a few new coach owners and many new GMCnet members as well lately. That is an excellent indication that there is still much interest in these old machines. I have also noticed a change in the postings that have resulted in slightly annoying me. I can't really put a finger on what it is but I find myself reading fewer of the postings on the net. Maybe it is just the fact that there is snow up to the roof edge on the north side of my barn and it is almost April. Or maybe it's because I have an 8 week old puppy that is disrupting sleep. Or maybe it's because I am over 60 and am now in the "old" category. Which I can't believe by the way. No matter what, I do see changes in the net. Not good, not bad, just changes. At the risk of offending everyone, I make the following recommendations.

New Members - This is a very different kind of net. It is not like a Ford F150 net or Arctic Cat ATV net. This net comprised of people who are the best source of information available on the GMC motorhome. Period. These people are also friends that spend time together at rallies, vacationing together and working together. Their contribution can not be over stated. Keep the postings relevant but have fun as well. I have been known to make my attempt at humor from time to time. But do not get snarkey, you stand only to loose out in the end.

Old Members - Thank you for all that you do. And isn't it great to see the new interest in the GMC. I see some very bright new members showing up. They will and do have much to offer. Just because we have been at this for many years does not make us an expert on everything. The day we stop learning is the day we die. Do not get snarkey, you stand only to loose in the end.

Now if I have not alienated everyone, I would like to do as I do every year and that is to invite any of you passing through my way this summer to stop for a visit. I have room for an overnight stay. I moved last year after 30 years in the last place and am still getting settled in. But I will have my barn with pit completed by about June 1st. I am about 15 miles south of Mackinaw City Michigan. I have gone from Yooper (someone that lives in the U.P.) to being a troll (someone who lives below the bridge - the Mackinac Bridge in this case).
Thanks Dan G for the rally pictures. I have been to a GMC rally in Montgomery. It was excellent as I am sure this one was.

and every meal is a banquet
