Appie,

I am electrically challenged but I don't think this device functions the same as the Boost Solenoid.

The Boost Solenoid is used to BOOST the power available to the START battery with the HOUSE batteries when it is run down.

I don't think you want both systems connected whenever the START and HOUSE batteries are at a specific voltage.

However, I AM electrically challenged and that may be a good thing! ;-)

If you replace the isolator with a modern "intellegent" combiner you will not need the booster anymore as the combiner has a booster
funktion as well
