Matt
If you made the survey available to former/founding members who are no longer involved, you might discover that the direction GMCES has been taking to date is not where all thought it should be going.

Your point is well made and it was a thought, but we don't have ready access to an e-mail list of past members. Watch your inbox.

I've been considering my response to the survey I just received in the mail from Eastern States when I came across this thread on the GMCnet.

I have already decided not to renew my membership in another GMC club due to its primary focus (in my opinion) as mainly a social club and not into technical support. I'm perhaps odd that I'm in clubs for the tech stuff to help me keep my GMC running and improved. The socializing that happens is however a very nice added benefit, but not why I'm in a club or go to rallies.

It does seem to me that Eastern States has gone away from its original reason for being as I recall. No one is to blame, except perhaps the rising price of gas and the general state of the economy for the past dozen years. I joined in December 2003 when the club started.

Maybe we should go to the already formed ES Google group and discuss (former, potential and current members included) to see what could be done to keep the club going.

I am also a charter member of ES.
