My beloved PO installed a 6500 watt Onan Emerald Plus in the standard spot in my Royale. I guess it precludes having a battery back there, but most of us opt out of that anyway.

It looks like a pretty clean install - he tells me that I'll need a floor jack to slide it out if it's ever necessary (only 90-something hours on it so far though). Runs quiet, starts easily, and makes more than enough power for both rooftop A/C units and anything else I've ever tried to run.

He also put in some NACA ducts which - so far - have worked VERY well in keeping the generator cool when I'm running it while driving (several times on the way to/from Mexico with a "housefull" of high school kids on 100+ degree days).
