There is a lot of RG-58 junk out there. It is high loss and only usable for short runs or low frequencies. A lot of it was also thin shielded and again only usable for lower frequencies. The only place I see it used any more is for short runs in mobile 2-way and CB antennas. Some one might want a short piece of it for a Chicken Band antenna lead.

Sorry but it is not worth much.

You might try braiding several lengths of it together and making an emergency tow rope out of it.
