Run up The Great River Road to
Chester and cross there, then up 55 till you cut across to
44.  60W is beautiful, but it has its crooked
parts.  If you're in a hurry, interstate the way.
We lived in Blytheville years ago, then moved to
Tulsa.  Common ride was down through the Ouichitas to
Hot Springs, up to Jonesboro, Newport, and over to
Hope/Prescott.  It's kinda hilly.  60 was a decent
route, mostly good two lane then, I dunno how much has been
four laned in the interim.

I'm going to be visiting some relatives near Carbondale,
Il
and mapquest shows either up toward St Louis and down I44
or
over through Cape Girardeau over to Sikeston and west on
US60.  Is US60 a good four lane all the way or is it
hilly and twisty.  The wife gets car sick on curvy
roads and I don't want that but I'd also prefer to avoid
St.
Louis.
