Why is it ok for some who little clue of a subject to comment on so many topics yet know body checks him. I didn't join the forum yesterday, but have seen a ton of good people leave this forum because some people can type whatever they want, while others if they have a less popular view or a view thats opposite of a so called "guru" won't be tolerated.
Countless rants have been noted by many of us, yet know body says boo. I don't think the swamp cooler topic has been fully covered at all. I think that Rob needs to stop posting about it since he has never used one, yet knows everything about the subject all of which is completely wrong.
Rob did suggest the use of a "hygrometer" He got all in a huff that I mentioned he drives a old motorhome. These are old motorhomes, not "gods" But he suggested I use one. When I mentioned that this is a hobby, not the center of the universe I got kicked to the curb.
The swamp cooler topic is NOT a covered topic. If that was the case why do we have a forum. The same questions about TONS of topics have been covered over and over and over again. Rarely if ever does someone ask anything that hasn't been asked before. The answer to that question is because shared data from others is VERY HELPFUL and the forum keeps topics fresh with different point of views.
However some people are incredibly smart, yet argue points that are totally wrong, or when they comment nobody will ever check them.
TRUST ME EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM KNOWS THE KNOW IT ALLS THAT THINK THEY KNOW EVERYTHING. While these people add a ton to our knowledge base if you ever make a statement the disagrees with them watch out!
Lets all face it, I'm glad some take the GMC to levels that they do. But there are some who are late in life that have nothing to do but to become the GMC know it all, and in the big picture these people have nothing going on in life but this.

My rant can be summed up like this........ There are many roads often that lead to the same place. However if a person recommends a road that is different then the common one travelled on this site the "gurus" will make sure you look dumb for even suggesting it. Read some topics like rubber fuel lines! Why buying Chinese parts is so evil. You'll get a kick, you'll see some of the ignorance.

Very little of this has to do with Rob, but he once again thinks he is the center of everyone GMCers universe so right away thought it was all about him. Hummmm, wonder why he would have come to that conclusion??

Everything he has stated about swamp coolers have been WRONG. And if this is a forum and a member with a high post count makes WRONG statements they should be checked so others will know that person has no clue on the topic yet tries to sound like they are so smart they have to be right. Why would we end the swamp cooler topic just to pacify someone like Rob whos WRONG. Why not just tell him, ROB YOU HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT THIS TOPIC. That will never happen.

Lastly, if you think about it like this, my threads often get tons of views and post counts. If it wasn't for my alternative topics, people would still be talking about what oil to use. I like topics like, Silicone fixes tons of stuff! How I love my ultra white reflective paint roof (down to the corners and it looks terrific, How Wind Turbines make good investments, How much smell Onan generators produce and ruin the peace outdoors, and hum I can come up with tons more!
