I'm thinking some people don't understand life in the southwest.
Picture in your mind a large plastic cup. Fill it with ice, then
water. Set it down, wait.
Does it leave a ring? No.
Is it covered in condensation? No.
Is there no ring, and only a hint of condensation at the level the ice
is floating at? Yes.
That is what the humidity is like in Las Vegas, not in the hot months.
I would expect it to be even worse then.
Swamp coolers should work great there. In much the rest of the
country, no, and you still need your cooling at night. Out in the
desert, the temperature drops fast once the sun goes down, much less
need of cooling.
Why can't we just get along?
