G'day,

Good news -this is the perfect opportunity for someone that wants to add a
second oil drain to their pan.

1) buy one of these pans
2) measure 7.5 inches back from the front lip of the pan
3) put a short line across the pan from side to side at that point
4) eyeball the center of the pan and center punch a start
5) drill a pilot hole through the pan
6) drill a half inch hole through the pan
7) get a 1/2-20 drain plug
8) get a 1/2-20 castle nut
9) stick the drain plug through the 1/2" hole from the outside in
10) screw the castle nut on it so the "castles" touch the inside of the pan
11) weld the nut to the inside of the pan

Voila - second drain plug.

Yes I know that there isn't much oil in there BUT Caddy 500's came with a
second plug. ;-)

Bad news - you have to remove the final drive and transmission to do this.
If you decide to do this add the following steps:

1) get an oil pan seal for an Olds 350 diesel
2) when you've got the final drive and trans out
a) remove the flex plate and see if the rear main seal is leaking -
if it is get a rubber one for a Ford 460 to replace the OEM rope seal
b) clean out the hidden area of the oil pickup
c) stick your fingers up on either side of the cam chain to check
play

Regards,
Rob M.

$55 each for them. They are all clean and one painted gold, one black and
the other was cleaned and is bare metal. two have the drain plug and one is
missing it.
