Cameron,,,,,,before you pull the engine you might consider finding out why you are burning oil and down on power. You can run a compression check or a leakdown test and find out the condition of the rings and valves. Good copression could indicate the rebuild is not neccesarry. Valve seals can be replaced without removing the motor. Lots of GMC owners have had a loss of power due to inop cintrifical advance in the dist. Would be sad to R+R the engine due to bad vacume lines or frozen weights in the dist. If you want me to explain how to R+R valve seals with the heads on let me know????,,,,PL
