The thing that bothers me about getting rid of the core is if someone takes only the ends in for a re-core the radiator shop might not know the correct core to place them on.

A re-core might be a little cheaper but in my case I bought a new aluminum one and never looked back. Thanks to a lot of help from other GMCers at the Delaware GMCMI rally I got it installed.

I suggest keeping it all or scraping it all. I have Dan Gregg's old one stored in my hanger. Blaine has my old one stored in his Florida room.
