All things are affected; may last two months propane bill was more than my total for last year. I can't turn off the heat and hot water while we are in the house, so we may as well travel . . .?

This brings to mind, some years back I was working at the Generating Station. And, as happens when a bunch of men work together, one gets an Idea and the "sheep" will follow.

Some of these guys had electric heat installed in their homes under a company incentive plan. However, over the years, the electric rate continued to raise and their method of heating became expensive. So one inovative individual put in a wood burning stove. He would go around and cut down unwanted trees for the wood and burn it in the Winter. He was able to open the breaker to the electric heat circuit all Winter.

The sheep followed suit. ..............

Burning wood might not be beneficial for the GMC but setting up your coach to take any advantage of the suns heat would be a great idea, especially since we have those nice huge windows.

For your home, Solar panels can be built for collecting heat, by individuals without too much of a cost and would help lower fuel usage during the day when the sun is out. I have done some research and some planning in regards to this method of supplemental heating. After this year, and the announcement that the gas and electric company will be raising rates, I will be building and testing solar heating panels this year. Anyone interested in trying this can search on U-tube and we can talk about ideas. After the initial build cost, its " No Charge " from the sun.

Other than the crap ( ethynol ) that is in our fuel these days, this is one way you might GO GREEN at home.

Just my thoughts
