G'day,

Since this has turned into the Weather Channel I'll add a bit of
international flavor to it.

Last night was the hottest night recorded in Sydney in 13 years. The
temperatures didn't start dropping until 5:00 AM.

It was 92�F in the Eastern suburbs (3 miles to the ocean) at the Mueller
terrace house (townhouse) which does not have central heat or air (Victorian
coal fire places and ceiling fans) the fans were on MAX all night! It got to
108�F out in the Western suburbs!

Normally Stumpy & Shadow (Hong Kong alley cats) only sleep with us during
the winter to keep warm. They figger'd out that it was cooler under the
ceiling fan and joined us!

This heat wave is supposed to stay with us for the rest of the week which is
not good as it provides a fertile environment for bush fires!

Speaking of Big Storms check this out!

That big white patch in the upper right hand corner of the picture is a
cyclone (hurricane) heading for Queensland! They can't catch a break up
there, first the worst flooding in 100 years now this!
