It is surprising, given the incredible amount of information (all of it vitally important) this group has on the GMC, that no one has ever needed to know the weight of the aluminium.

Does anyone want to offer a SWAG?

The price for dirty aluminum is $.47 at my local recycle place so if there's 1000 lb then i could probably find someone willing to spend a weekend cutting and stripping.

But if it's only 4 or 500 lb then I'll probably just pay to have it hauled.
