Does the rear house bat.aux. solenoid have any purpose besides bypassing the 60 amp house bat. circuit breaker for starting? If it does, I sure can"t figure it out. The GM schematic is a little confusing because Of the way that yhe boost switch is drawn. Thanks for any help from all the electrical Gurus out there.

I would say that is its only purpose. When I moved my battery set up from the rear to the front I relocated the 60 amp breaker to the front also.

Lynn,
That is indeed the only purpose of the rear solenoid: To prevent the CB
from popping under the heavy load that may be imposed in Boost mode. The
theory, I presume, is that the risk of a short during the short boost phase
is small. That may also be part of the reason later coaches have momentary
boost switches.

You are correct that the bypass is the only function but that is important because without doing so you would likely trip the breaker when trying to use the boost function to start your engine. Don't just remove the circuit breaker though because if you would have a direct short you could start a fire or do a lot of damage.
