In searching for a new vac modulator, they mention "red stripe", "black stripe", etc. What the heck does this mean????

They are pre set for different loads, I do not know what they are .

Ray,
I went to Napa and asked for this item - it has a gold colored body and a 'red' stripe of paint on it - I assume that is what they mean.
