Finished up the pads yesterday, was just down to one clamp. Anyway yesterday after work I took her out for a short spin and wow what a difference. Earlier this year I noticed the dash had developed a harsh rattle. I was hoping the body pads would take care of and it did! I have not had it on the highway yet but took it on a bumpy road that would always rattle the dash and I was pleasantly surprised that dash rattle is gone! Yahoo!!

Put a Rolls Royce engine in it an you just might get the rattle back or,
better yet, leave it behind.
Martha and I, too, were amazed at the difference in interior noise as well
as general ride improvement. I think ours was sitting on four pads. It makes
you think that GMC's decision to put on the spot pads wasn't the best idea
except for the bean counters.

Yes, it is amazing something like that makes such a difference. Also, the
reason we started in on doing them was to get that 1/2" clearance for the brake,
air and fuel lines which is very important. Replacing body pads is nothing but
a win/win. Congrats on finding this out,
