Larry I did the mod on my GMC

I got the 3 inch flexible duct hose from Nostalgic Air Parts.(813-413-8420) I also ordered two 2.5 inch Chrome Round Vents from them. . The vents were $15. each but worth the price. Fifteen feet of hose came to apx. $35. They were good to deal with and sent the items to Canada via US Postal service as I requested.

I got the blast gates from THE BLAST GATE Company. You will find them easily on the internet. They were also great to deal with. I can't remember what the blast gates cost but they were well made and reasonable. They were also great to deal with.

I had a problem finding a 2&1/8th whole saw in Brandon but picked one up in Winnipeg. One hole into the air conditioning unit was a problem without a 90 degree drill which I didn't have at the time but have purchased since. (I hate to think that there's a tool I don't have)

Home Depot Larry.
Less than $10. That's a pic of my early AC mod and it flowed
considerably more air than the later mod I made using a sewer hose.

Gee now there's an idea. Install macerater and also use sewer hose for HVAC connections. You could even use the sewer hose end fittings for the connections so you could disconnect the hose and use it for an emergency tank dump if the macerater quit. Yeah sure, that idea is really gonna fly well with the CFO, about like a lead brick. <grin> (But for entertainment value I COULD tell her I'm gonna do it.) (can you tell this is my last night shift of 7 in a row.)

Larry,
That was one of the cheapest and best working mods I made to my GMC.
The alum ducting worked much better than the sewer hose and the reason
I replaced it was my paranoia about having that hose so close to
electrical connections. The corrugations in the sewer hose really
reducde air flow, or else it was the bends.
