made few calls, looked at internet , $100.18 at a site.

local AutoZones no go, O-Rielies, no can bumper to bumper checked AC Delco
warehouse says no on her computer!

any suggestions where to get this?

You want AZ part# 922797 which is a cross for the GM 15-4644.

It may be a cross but it's not the same as the AC/Delco

Emery,
Here's the rub on your statement. AC Delco makes nothing. The
repackage from Delphi. Delphi subs out a lot of it's parts and HD fan
clutches are one of those parts. Hayden still makes some of it's own
HD fan clutches. It also makes some of the AC Delco HD units. If you
buy a 2797 fan clutch in a Hayden box, most likely, it will be made in
USA. If you buy a 2797 from AZ, it will be identical to the Hayden
2797 except it will have been made in China. The direct cross for the
AC Delco 15-4644 is indeed a Hayden and if you buy it from NAPA,
somewhere in the PN you will see the numbers "2797". I believe the
NAPA unit is made in the US.
This is getting really muddled,er,is that global?

I have used Hayden 2797 in the past. I have a Delco 15-4644.
Physically they are not the same.
