Paul,
Yup - I just put a pair of those very same rims on the front. They bring the
track out to be equal to the rear(actually a touch more than equal) and at first
drive they work very well. As a matter of fact, I have 2 for sale, since the
seller would only sell in a complete set of 4. They appear to be hub centered
as well, but the fit on the hub isn't perfectly snug, but it only has a few thou
of clearance. The biggest difference is that the lug nuts are specials - they
have to be conical with threads on the outside to hold the hubcaps and with 9/16
- 18 internal threads. GM used M14-1.5 threads on most all of the later model.
I was able to get the right lug nuts from NAPA, but they were over $3.50 each.
Ouch. The cool thing is that if you can find some from a GMC 2500 they will
have the GMC logo on the hubcap. All I could find is ones with the bow tie. I
think I can go to a GM dealer and get the insert with the GMC logo and that
would be cool.
And I need 2 Alcoa's to complete my set. I now have 2 of the 2500's, 2 Alcoa's
and 2 original 16.5 steel wheels.

Has anyone tried fitting a set of these yet?

I have been thinking about using some like this on just the front wheels as two
of the Alcoas that came on my coach have the slight wobbles.
