Moving on to my next issue, the thing a ma jig with the Ping Pong Ball in the left rear wheel well is not working like it is supposed to. I think it is cracked and therefore leaks. What is it called, are they still available and is there a better mouse trap?
I looked in my Manual for some info but could not find anything.

It's called the fuel vapor seperator. An exact replacement is available from Paragon corvette in Fenton Mi (they have an on-line catalog), or substitute models are available from the 2 Jim's. These were used as roll-over valves on Corvettes.
