Gene,

I installed a Robertshaw thermostat when I fitted the aluminum manifold. I
did not have a copy of the manual for the thermostat when I installed it. I
installed it with the "pointy" end up (towards radiator).

I am a bit confused by what you've noted below.

I did a Google search for the Robertshaw 330-180 thermostat but have not
been able to find the manual.

Are you saying that the thermostat should be "clocked" so that a little
dimple on the flange faces forward towards the radiator?

Regards,

Rob M.

Benny,

When you install the Robertshaw thermostat make sure the little dimple on
the flange goes toward the radiator. The manual says if it isn't one bank
of cylinders will run hotter than the other. I don't know if it will but I
am not going to find out either.
