As many of you are aware Lisa and I purchased Ed and Emma Burner's coach in April. I have been going through papers and boxes left in the coach by Ed and am building a maintenance history prior to our purchase. I understand Ed and Emma owned the coach for quite a few years. We thought it would be nice to have more than the maintenance history and are wondering if any one cares to share any stories of their adventures/tribulations/triumphs or tragedies that they had with Ed or Emma. Stories and pics would be appreciated. Feel free to send to my email at wlamothe82 at skidmore.edu.

Emery Stora has said that the coach was a major part of Ed's life. We would like to let that legacy live on by having something to pass on to the next owners (many, many years hence) explaining the history and pedigree of the coach.

Thanks to all who can help.

Ed had once been President of GMC Western States. I joined that club back in 1999. I became the Technical VP in 2001. When lining up the tech seminars for the rallies I noticed that Ed had put on a good seminar a few years before and thought it might be good to have him put on one for the September 2001 rally at Maricopa, CA. I called Ed and found out that he had gotten discouraged with the club (for some untold reason) some time back and had stopped going to rallies. He thought about it and called me back and said he would do it. After the rally he told me that he had such a good time that he was going to start going to all the rallies again. Ed was getting on in years and couldn't do much on his GMC anymore. At Maricopa his Onan didn't work. I told him that I would stop by to see if I could help. I went by but Ed and Emma had gone to town. I opened the Onan door and found out that it was a carb problem and I fixed it and left a note on their door "try your Onan"
. That evening he was talking at the dinner table and said that "someone fixed my Onan but I can't remember who said they would look at it". I told them that I had gone over and Emma gave me a big kiss!

Ed was then a regular at all of the following rallies.
