I just adopted a 1976 Palm Beach. In trying the adjusting down all went OK
until I tried to get it off it's knees. It won't come up. The pressure goes up to 100+ then slowly bleeeds off. I have the Maintaince Manual,, but it doesnt help.
Anybody out there have a solution?

Does 'AIRBAGS ' come to mind ?

WELKUM To The World Of The GMCers ! ~

Try bleeding your air tank =
then check your air lines ~

Put the rear of your GMC on jack stands and check your airbags ~
You may still have the original air bags that have become dry rotted ~~

Good Luck ~
Joe

I have sent you a couple of files to your email address that might help you to find and fix leaks.

If you can get up to 100 lbs and it's not moving, your valves may be sticking
and not allowing any air to the bags.

The fact that it bleeds down means you also have a leak(s) someplace.

that should be an Electro-level 1 system. you could have bad switches that control the valves. the switches are removable for dis-assembly and cleaning. it could be a broken wire too. you can check the valves with a volt meter to see if they are energizing as the should. the valves can get trash in them and plug up too.

go here and have a good read:

good luck,
